Small,
Faded,
Ragged-edged
Journal to the floor
And was amazed at the thundering
"BOOM"
"The floor or the Journal?"
He wondered.
"Heavier than I thought."
He replied.
"Louder too."

Down into the abyssal grave Ahab went
Tied and bound to that which was truly himself
The sea swallowing his vengeance
With wrath and fury
As it had welcomed his tear
With fair wind and mild face
Captain of men
He led them to their fate
Their souls as his drink
Their bodies as his spear
From the heart of hell did he stab the beast
And unto the heart of hell
Did the great white god deliver him
Would you follow him, o shipmates?
Would you follow the damned Ahab?
Though he be dead more than a hundred year
Still he beckons to his crew
Still he beckons to those who would hunt the white whale
